WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT HAIR LOSS

You know when you alight from a bus then feel your pockets but find that your phone is missing and your heart starts to race like going to have a heart attack? Let me tell you what gives you a heart attack: Alopecia. It's a fancy name for when you run a comb through your hair and large chunks of hair fall out leaving a shiny bald patch on your unhappy scalp. Some of us refer to it simply as hair loss.
As much as we hate to lose hair, it is absolutely normal to lose some strands. Humans lose 50-100 strands of hair per day in a process known as Shedding. As hair grows it ages, and new hair comes up to replace the aged one. It's a necessary evil. The real problem arises when new hair doesn't grow back as quickly as aged hair sheds. That's when the baldness begins to creep in. That's when you should worry. But don't. To every problem, there's always a solution.
A lot of different factors cause hair loss. Stress, diet and certain medications can induce hormonal imbalance and ultimately lead to hair loss. Also, when some of your hair follicles are dormant, that is they're inactive and do not produce any hair, you experience hair loss. To successfully treat hair loss, we must first identify the cause of it. For instance, if you're experiencing hair loss as a result of hormonal imbalance, then to treat it you may have to check your stress level and eat less junk. If, on the other hand, the hair loss is due to dormant follicles, then you'd need to reactivate those follicles. Massaging your scalp with rosemary oil and lemongrass oil stimulates blood circulation in the scalp and awakens those sleeping follicles.
